Meet The Team
Dr. Andrea Hesser DVM, DACT
Dr. Andrea Hesser is the Veterinary Director of Genesis Canine Reproduction. She is a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University, having completed a bachelors degree in 2010 and later became a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. After graduation, she worked in a busy small animal practice in Kansas, which helped to further develop her interests in canine reproductive medicine and surgery. After this, she went to California, where she completed a residency in Companion Animal Theriogenology (reproduction) at UC Davis. Since this time, she has practiced actively in canine reproductive practice in Oklahoma and north Texas. She is an active member of both the Society for Theriogenology and a diplomate of the American College of Theriogenology.
Dr. Hesser has extensive expertise in canine semen analysis and freezing, having been involved in cutting-edge research on the topic, as well as spoken nationally and internationally at veterinary conferences. She has been freezing semen for her local community and performing frozen semen breedings for owners since 2013. She strongly feels that the use of the semen frozen by some other facilities has fueled her interest and passion in producing the highest quality and honest frozen semen product possible, in order to honor the dogs which have been stored and give them the greatest chances for producing beautiful, talented offspring.
As a breeder and conformation enthusiast herself, she understands the value of these services, and how they can impact your breeding program. She is thrilled to provide services to the area’s events

Donna Bennett
Donna is the head technician for Genesis Canine Reproduction and coordinator for semen movement. She has been involved in exhibiting and breeding AKC dogs since 1994. Donna, along with her husband Mike currently breeds whippets under the Liberty prefix. Although they no longer breed Akitas, it is a breed that is very dear to both of them. Their dogs compete in virtually every venue, from conformation to dock diving, lure coursing, obedience, agility, and beyond. Their passion is producing well-rounded, versatile dogs that can compete anywhere successfully.
Donna has known Dr. Hesser since before she was in vet school. The opportunity to work with her was one she could not pass up.
With the heart of a breeder, the possibility of frozen semen and preserving their past as they look to the future will always hold appeal.
